About the job

As a DevOps Engineer at Ovivio, you are not just managing infrastructure, you are building and evolving a cloud platform that enables our development teams to deliver software safely, quickly, and independently. 

You will play a central role in our transition from a hybrid, on-premises environment to a modern AWS-based platform. Your focus is on automation, scalability, reliability, and developer enablement. 

You work closely with development, product, and security teams to remove bottlenecks, improve delivery performance, and strengthen our DevOps culture. 

Responsibilities 

In this role, you will: 

  • Design, build, and maintain our AWS-based cloud platform 

  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK (Python) 

  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using AWS-native and Git-based tooling 

  • Improve developer experience through self-service solutions and platform automation 

  • Implement and enhance observability (monitoring, logging, tracing) using tools such as CloudWatch and Datadog 

  • Ensure security and compliance through DevSecOps practices and automation 

  • Take ownership of reliability and performance, reducing incidents and improving recovery times 

  • Drive cost optimization across cloud environments 

  • Support and accelerate the migration from on-premises infrastructure to AWS 

  • Collaborate closely with development and product teams and contribute to an open and supportive engineering culture 

  • Contribute to a strong DevOps culture focused on ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement

About you

You are a proactive and experienced DevOps Engineer who enjoys building scalable platforms and driving continuous improvement. You take ownership, think in solutions, and focus on long-term impact.You thrive in an evolving environment and actively contribute to change. 

Experience and skills 

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering 

  • Strong experience with AWS (primary platform) 

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK or CloudFormation) 

  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines 

  • Solid knowledge of Linux systems 

  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog) 

  • Understanding of cloud security principles (IAM, Zero Trust, compliance) 

  • Experience with containerized environments (ECS Fargate) 

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills 

Nice to have 

  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) 

  • Experience in hybrid environments (on-premises + cloud) 

  • Experience with cost optimization in AWS 

  • Experience contributing to platform engineering or internal developer platforms

The VOG will be requested by us as part of the hiring process once an offer of employment has been made. Ovivio covers the costs of the application.
